Robert Fritz writes in his book The Path of Least Resistance, "Instead of choosing to create what they want, some people choose to avoid what they don't want. When you choose merely to avoid what you do not want, you set up paralyzing conflict instead of a dynamic tension" (p. 173).
Spending our energy focusing on what we want to avoid can actually lead us right where we don't want to be. Practice writing down each day what it is that you do want. It is a shift from living out of fear and living from a place of movement. Consider acting, doing, and creating something that does not already exist. Be the artist! You are here to create.
